           ASKING WHO

     cé + direct relative clause

         Cé a bheidh i láthair?
         Who will be present?
Cé a d’ith píosa deireanach an cháca?
   Who ate the last piece of cake?




                                       ASKING WHAT
                                  cad + direct relative clause

                              Cad a tharla sa ghairdín?
                             What happened in the garden?
                                Cad atá scríofa ansin?
                                What is written there?



                                      ASKING WHICH
                                     Cé acu is fearr leat?
                                 Which of them do you prefer?
                                 Cén ceann a thaitníonn leat?
                                    Which one do you like?
                                   Cén dath atá níos deise?
                                    Which colour is nicer?

          ASKING WHY
cén fáth + indirect relative clause

     Cén fáth a ndúirt sé sin?
       Why did he say that?

        Why is she angry?



          ASKING HOW
  conas + direct relative clause
cén chaoi + indirect relative clause

Conas a fhuaimnítear an focal sin?
  How is that word pronounced?
