Pointer to a chain_list
Pointer to a chain_list

append appends the contains of the chain_list pointed to by pt2 at the end of the one pointed to by pt1.
The lists consistency is warranted by the use of the adequat add functions.

append returns a pointer to the new head of list. If pt1 is not NULL, it has the value of pt1, else it is pt2.
